Scooba cleans up to four average size rooms on a single battery charge and washes an average size kitchen using one tank of cleaning solution. Scooba navigates throughout each room and uses a 4-stage cleaning system to prep, wash, scrub and squeegee sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors. Scooba uses only clean solution to wash floors (conventional mopping just pushes dirty water around) and it even washes beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places. How does Scooba know where to clean? Do I have to program it?
Scooba covers every part of the floor multiple times every time it cleans. There’s nothing to program: Scooba uses sensors and its robot intelligence system to automatically navigate around your room.
Can Scooba clean as well as I do?
Because Scooba is a robot, it uses a different cleaning method than you typically would. Its compact size enables it to reach under furniture and other hard-to-reach places. Plus, it’s so easy to use, you can wash your floors more frequently and maintain a cleaner home.
Is Scooba safe to use on hard floors?
Scooba is designed to safely clean all sealed hard floor surfaces, including tile, linoleum, marble and sealed hardwood — wherever you would typically use a standard mop. Scooba uses water and a specially designed Clorox® cleaning solution that is safe and effective on all sealed hard floor surfaces. Becareful though if you intend to use Scooba on hardwood flooring: 1) It must be properly & annually sealed. 2) The Clorox blend may dull the hardwood surface. We at Earthority.com does NOT recommend using Scooba on hardwood or laminate flooring, regardless of what iRobot claims.

AWARE uses dozens of sensors to monitor the robot’s environment and adjusts its behavior up to 67 times per second, ensuring that Scooba cleans effectively, intelligently and safely.
